Dreaming of a winter vacation? Make sure you don’t miss out on the 50 best things to do in Breckenridge this winter!
Are you looking for a winter activity the entire family can enjoy to escape the hustle and bustle of the ski area? Perhaps a day of sledding in Breckenridge is just what you are looking for!
It may be a bit chilly outside, but that doesn’t mean you can’t shake those winter blues by playing in the snow right in downtown Breckenridge! What’s great about sledding is that you don’t need any fancy equipment — just pick up your sleds from the local City Market, bundle up in your snow gear, and head out for a Grand adventure!
Carter Park has a free walk-up, a sled-down hill located four blocks east of Main Street near the Breckenridge Elementary School. The sledding hill is wide, but it does get busy throughout the day, so make sure to plan ahead. The park offers stunning mountain views, bathroom facilities, and picnic tables where you can share a snack.
Don’t forget to bring your furry family members. In addition to the sledding hill, Carter Park has the largest dog park in town where your furry family member will be sure to make new friends.

Runaway Sledding Hill
The new Runaway Sledding Hill is a walk-up man-made hill located off Airport Road on Fraction Drive. The hill is regularly groomed, and although there is no indoor warming hut, there are on-site porta-potties.
If you decide to buy a sled from our local City Market, there is a sled shed where you can donate the used sled for another guest to use!

Frisco Adventure Park
The Frisco Adventure Park tubing hill is made up of several lanes, with each lane having a different experience. There are some lanes that are less intense, while others are steeper with more rolling terrain. The tubing hill is accessible by a surface life, making it the ideal activity for the entire family.

After adventuring on the mountain or a day in town, what better way to complete your day with Breckenridge’s famous après cocktails.
We love the holiday season, but let’s face it, it normally comes with burn out. Now that the holidays are over and your New Year’s resolutions have been set, it’s time to treat yourself to the care you deserve. We’ve covered how to unwind in Breckenridge so rest and relaxation isn’t left off your travel itinerary.
Main Street Breckenridge sits at 9,600 feet and that can be a big adjustment if you’re coming from sea level! Take your time to acclimate and head to the O2 Lounge when you arrive. Choose from 15, 30 and 45 minute sessions or rent an oxygen machine to enjoy from the comfort of your hotel.
For an out of this world experience, try hyperbaric oxygen therapy. At Mountain Air Hyperbarics you’ll be zipped into a chamber that will slowly start to pressurize. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy increases the amount of oxygen your blood can carry which in turn can help promote healing, decrease inflammation, improve blood flow and circulation and more.
At Elite IV Lounge, you can choose from a slew of services to restore your body. Try a Myers Cocktail to alleviate muscle fatigue after a day on the mountain or the Altitude IV to help with any altitude sickness symptoms. If you have a little too much fun out on the town you can even select the Hangover IV.
A Breckenridge spa day is a must on the self-care list. Find ultimate relaxation at Infinity Spa at the Grand Colorado on Peak 8. Choose from a variety of body and skin therapies, massage and nail treatments and more. Pre-treatment, take advantage of the Relaxation Room in a digitally controlled lounge chair. Post-treatment, spend all the time you need in the exclusive adults-only grotto equipped with a hot tub, cold plunge, sauna and steam room.
Enjoy a Drink
Stay awhile and let yourself unwind. Sit down and enjoy the best happy hours in Breckenridge or enjoy a hot cup of coffee fireside at one of the best coffee shops in town. For a more immersive experience head to Breckenridge Distillery for a private after-hours tour and tasting.
Move Your Body
Breathe in and breathe out. Meta Yoga Studios offers classes like Yin & Vinyasa, Evening Yoga and even an Après Ski Yoga class to decompress after a day on the snow.
