Imperial Challenge

April – Date TBD

Imperial Challenge, Breckenridge Ski Resort, CO

Anyone can participate in the Imperial Challenge – with the appropriate gear of course! As long as you are descending on equipment that has metal edges, you should be good to go. Uphill racers choose from ultralight, telemark and AT gear. You’ll see split boards and snowshoes with gear being shuttled in a backpack. However you choose to ascend and descend, you probably won’t be alone. The total climb is 3000′, not for the faint of heart. This event is a long-standing tradition in Breckenridge that is a lot of fun to participate in or just witness.
