Ullr King & Queen | Breck’s Got Talent

Festivities begin on Wednesday, the 11th at 6:30 p.m. at the Riverwalk Center with the crowning of the Ullr King and Queen, followed by Breck’s Got Talent. This free talent show isn’t just exclusive to local celebrities; stars from around the country will also be joining the show!

Local’s Tip: Get there early when doors open at 6:00 p.m.—the first 200 attendees receive a free beer!

Unofficial Shot on a Ski World Record

The real fun begins on Thursday, the 12th at 4:00 p.m. with the Breckenridge Distillery “unofficial” record-breaking attempt of shots on skis. Breckenridge and Park City have a rivalry every year attempting to break each others’ record. Last year, a total of 1,299 people on 433 skis spanning 2,304 feet down Main Street lined up to take a shot last year. Help us break the record again!

Local’s Tip: Sign up in advance (like, right now). This record-breaking event is extremely popular and will sell out very soon!

Ullr Parade

If you only make it to one event, this is it. More than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts fill the streets for the Ullr Parade. Locals get super creative and put a lot of effort into their floats; same have worked in ski jumps, hot tubs on wheels, choreographed dances and life-sized snow globes. You have to see it to believe it!

Local’s Tip: Bring your own Viking helmet or purchase one at the Breckenridge Welcome Center so you can blend in with the locals and properly pay your respects to Ullr.

Ullr Ice Plunge

Take an icy plunge into Maggie Pond… if you dare! More than 200 brave (or crazy) souls jumped into the freezing water last year, which is considered the ultimate sacrifice to Ullr. Head out in your favorite swim costume or stop by to check out the daredevils in action. Don’t worry, there’s a hot tub for warming up after you jump!

Local’s Tip: This activity is for the crazy ones! Our adrenaline gets pumping enough just watching 🙂

Ullr Bonfire

Head over to the Gondola lots right after the parade to check out the Ullr Bonfire. Dance the night away to a DJ set sponsored by Red Bull in front of a blazing bonfire.

Local’s Tip: Bring your camera or cell phone to capture the mesmerizing bonfire. Don’t forget to share using #BestofBreck and #BreckLife.
