Countless nonprofit organizations in Breckenridge and Summit County provide services to our residents and our beautiful mountain environment. Tend the Trails

Give back to the high-country trails and forest we all love. Volunteer for a local restoration project!

Friends of the Dillon Ranger District (FDRD)
FDRD preserves the local National Forest through volunteer projects, outdoor education, and collaborative partnerships. Sign up for a trail work project or to help out at the Ranger Station!

Summit County Mountain Bike Alliance (SCoMBA)
SCoMBA is the hub for all things mountain biking in Summit County! Through volunteer projects and advocacy, they help to create, enhance, and preserve great mountain biking experiences.

Blue River Watershed Group (BRWG)
BRWG is an organization whose mission is to promote, protect, and restore the Blue River Watershed through cooperative community education, stewardship, and resource management.

Eagle Summit Wilderness Alliance (ESWA)
ESWA works with the US Forest Service to preserve the natural beauty of the four Wilderness areas located in Eagle and Summit County; promoting sustainable use of these areas and ensuring that they remain protected for generations to come.

Family & Intercultural Resource Center

Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC) is an organization and resource center for food security, peer support, health and wellness, and financial empowerment. 1 in 3 families in Summit County are supported by the work of FIRC!

Smart Bellies

Smart Bellies helps to fill the gap, providing free kid-friendly “weekend bags” and family bags to families facing food insecurity in Summit and Lake Counties. They need help packing bags and delivering food.

Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center

Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC) provides adaptive programing and educational recreation experiences for people with disabilities and special needs. With their team of over 300 volunteers, they serve over 2,500 participants per year!

Keystone Science School

With the outdoors as a backdrop for learning, Keystone Science School inspires curiosity and critical thinking through the lens of science to change lives and strengthen communities.

Breck Create

Breck Create aims to build a dynamic, year-round creative community by delivering inspiring creative experiences that enrich the quality of life and quality of place for all who live, work or play in Breckenridge. Breck Create provides a year-round schedule of performances, exhibitions, screenings, art classes and workshops and more!

Breckenridge Backstage Theatre

BBT is the theater group local to Breckenridge. They aim io enrich, educate and entertain Summit County residents and visitors of all ages through high-quality professional theatre, community theatre and meaningful learning through the arts.

Breck Film and Eclipse Theater

Breck Film curates unique, year-round film experiences that entertain and enrich the lives in our mountain community. If you are here in the fall, be sure to check out Breck Film Festival!

National Repertory Orchestra

The National Repertory Orchestra provides life-changing experiences to aspiring professional musicians, preparing them to shape the future of classical music. Be sure to check out their summer concert series!

Breckenridge Events

Breckenridge is a town full of popular events like Oktoberfest, the International Snow Sculpture ChampionshipsWine Classic, and more. Many of these events are looking for volunteers like you to help the event run smoothly. At celebrations like Oktoberfest, volunteers receive a stein and two drink tokens which makes your time giving back even sweeter! 

RAM Legacy In Action

Breckenridge Grand Vacations (BGV) has honored late owner/developer, Rob Millisor, through BGV Gives’ annual Heart Health event for almost a decade, providing more than $1.5M for heart health initiatives and programs. BGV celebrates Rob’s memory with a volunteer and fundraising event, called Rob A. Millisor (RAM) Legacy in Action. The event is focused on bringing BGV employees to the community, partnering with local nonprofits to contribute more than 750 hours of volunteer time in one day. Learn more here

Don’t Have Time to Volunteer?  

If you can’t give back time but would like to donate in some way, the Summit Foundation is a fantastic organization that has supported our community for over 40 years. The Summit Foundation has given $57 million back to the community since 1984 and provides student scholarships and grants to local nonprofits. You can feel good knowing your dollars will go directly to the community you know and love.
