Events for the Final Spring Fever Week of the Season

Audience applause's at concert Welcome to the last full week of the Breckenridge ski season! The final week of Spring Fever is going to be a full on party with free concerts by Toots and the Maytalls Saturday and Rusted Root Sunday, on mountain competitions, in town entertainment and more. Both free concerts start at 2 p.m. and when you get to Peak 8 you won’t miss it! Spend the day ripping up the slopes and end it jamming to these awesome national acts courtesy of Breckenridge Ski Resort. This weekend also marks the return of the KSMT Beer Festival as well as the Imperial Challenge, the traditional closing day local’s race from town to the top of the Imperial Bowl.

Final Breck Ascent Series Race of the Season

Info:  It’s the last Breck Ascent race of the season! Take on a different kind of challenge this winter with the Breckenridge Ascent Series.  Join us this year for FIVE hill climb events with a mix of courses. The race consists of just the Ascent – Use any kind of way to get up the mountain, but skis or a snowboard are required to come back down!

Final KSMT Spring Fever Comedy Series Night
 When: Thursday, April 12th at 7:00 p.m.

Info: Finish out the Spring Fever Comedy Night Series with the final event this Thursday. This comedy night features host Chuck Roy and the Headliner, Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald. With a background that ranges from numerous tours as a bouncer with The Rolling Stones, The Who, and The Police, a 25-year career in veterinary medicine and over 20-years of performing as a professional stand-up comedian; Kevin Fitzgerald is a true renaissance man.
Final Breck “5 ‘Til 5” Terrain Park Happy Hour
When: Thursday, April 12th at 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.

 Info: The 5 til 5 event’s final day is this Friday! Cruise Breck’s Freeway & Park Lane Terrain Parks until 5 p.m. 5 Chair and the Colorado SuperChair lifts will operate 1 extra hour, until 5 p.m. Enjoy free food, beverages, music, giveaways and jam style contests all afternoon. Prizes include gear from various ski and snowboard companies, Maui Jim, Rockstar, season passes and other great prizes, including this Friday for one lucky guest, a year’s supply of Mountain Dew!

Imperial Challenge Bike/Ascent/Descent Race
When: Saturday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m.
Where: Start at the Breckenridge Recreation Center
Info: This year marks the 16th annual Imperial Challenge. The event involves a 6.2 mile mountain bike ride from the Town of Breckenridge across Peak 7 to Peak 8, followed by a 2,500 foot ascent of Peak 8 to the top of the Imperial Bowl on the equipment of your choice. As your quadriceps quiver from oxygen deprivation and lactic acid build up, begin your descent to the base of Peak 8 on skis or a snowboard. This is the quintessential closing day event of the year! Breck Spring Beer Festival, Presented By KSMT

Info: KSMT “The Mountain” presents the 6th annual Breckenridge Spring Beer Festival on Saturday, April 14th. The Beer Festival offers brews, and free live music, featuring beer sampling from 25 craft brewers and live music from My Pet Dragon, Jason Spooner, and Tracksuit Wedding.

2-Day Weekend-Long Luau Party
