Coffee: so delicious and energizing, it seems like this invigorating nectar came straight from above to cure all morning woes. Whether you’re waking up to hop on the lift, head to work, take a hike or hit the shops, there’s no shortage of spots to satisfy your caffeine craving in Breckenridge. In fact, there are SO many cafes here that it’s hard to choose where to find your fix, so with the help of our staff and some other locals, BOB is proud to present our list of Breck’s best brew shops!
The Crown 215 S Main St. (970) 453-6022
An appropriate title for one of the ruling coffee shops in town, The Crown was recently remodeled and is the perfect place to cozy up with a cup. If you bring your own mug, their yummy drip coffee is only ONE DOLLAR. Plus, you can snag a Juanita wrap or a Royal Tiger breakfast burrito while you’re there!
Clint’s 131 S Main St. (970 453-2990
A local favorite, don’t pass up the Boreas breakfast sandwich (try it on the asiago or Swiss cheese bagel). Their magic bars are just like a slice of heaven on your plate. Once you grab your snacks downstairs, head upstairs for some coffee. It’s always tough to choose between their salty chocolate caramel latte and Almond Joy mocha.
Cuppa Joe 118 S Ridge St. #7 (970) 453-3938
Voted “Best Coffee Shop” by the local newspaper, The Summit Daily, Cuppa Joe is one of the most unique java joints in Breck. They always have incredible locally-made art for sale on display right in the shop, making it hard to leave with just a coffee (which is super tasty, as they only brew eccentric blends). What’s our favorite dish? The apple and brie sandwich puts other munchies to shame.
Cabin Coffee 222 S Main St. Suite B (970) 453-9336
Renowned for their highly caffeinated beverages like the Palomino and the Tumbleweed, this café also offers delicious meal selections. Try the “Berry Good for You” sandwich; it comes with turkey, raspberry mayo and wheat berry bread. It’s hard to stroll down Main Street without stopping by for a pick-me-up at Cabin Coffee!
Coffee Depot 505 S Main St. (970) 547-5970
Situated mere steps from the Quicksilver lift on Peak 9, the Depot is the ideal spot to clear that morning cloudiness out of your head before hitting the slopes. We strongly recommend the Café Vienna: a delightful combination of honey, cinnamon and espresso. Finish it off with a homemade strawberry and cream cheese-filled croissant. Yum!
Amazing Grace 213 Lincoln Ave. (970) 453-1445
Where locals go to get their healthy Breck-fast fix; Amazing Grace is known for their gluten-free breakfast tacos and our favorite, the breakfast burrito with spicy sweet potatoes! We can’t forget to mention that their lip-smacking drip coffee really hits the spot on chilly mornings.
Mom’s Baking Co. 100 N Main St. # 214 (970) 453-4473
Formerly known as Euro Deli, this shop has been completely revamped by new management from the inside out, with a cute, relaxed ambiance and tastier treats than ever. Their friendly staff makes the BEST breakfast burrito in town (we like the sausage, but the chorizo is tasty, too).
Now that you have the lowdown on where to get the best kick-start to your day (or afternoon) in town, all you must do is grab your friends and family and head to Breck! For the best deals on lodging visit breckenridgediscountlodging.com.
