Oh, summertime; the flowers are bloomin’, the days are lasting longer, and the nights are getting warmer. Breck is really starting to pick up their game in the live music department; exciting things are happening around town! The Historic Brown recently remodeled and is now a prominent music venue in Breck, Rocky Mountain Underground is welcoming live music on their new patio this summer, and the Riverwalk Center will again open it’s doors to a plethora of music throughout the summer. So grab your dancin’ shoes and check out what we’ve got lined up for the summer!

The Copper Children are an indie rock band emerging out of the heart of Denver, Colorado. Their sound is a mix of indie-Americana, intertwined with soul-folk, influenced as much by mountain music as classic rhythm & blues. The band’s expressed musical functions are driven by a contemporary multi-focus genre, in which they challenges conventional thinking and preconceived notions of what soul-folk is, and aims to give an edge to the folk genre with unique instrumentation and songwriting. Exposing explorations into the funk/fusion genre, Judo Chop is sure to hit ya in the face with a roundhouse kick!
Rocky Mountain Underground

Have you checked out RMU yet? This outdoor retailer was born in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. They are an employee-owned business has been hand-crafting skis for 8 years. Recently, they moved to a new location and became Breck’s first ski shop + bar. How cool is that?! You can grab a brew from the tavern and then check out the ski gear next door.
This summer, RMU is expanding! They are opening up a back patio which will make room for all sorts of fun summer shenanigans, including LIVE MUSIC! Visit their website or drop by the Tavern on 114 S Main Street to stay in the loop. This is one of the best new bars in town, hands-down. Go check them out!
BIKES + BEERS + BANDS

Summer time and the livin’ is good. RMU and Breck Bike Guides have teamed for a new summer series called BIKES + BEERS + BANDS, offering a day full of skills clinics, post-ride beers, and good tunes. Each ticket includes a guided ride, skills training at the Breckenridge Pump Track, and two beers to enjoy while local bands take over the RMU Tavern stage. Not a biker? Join us at 1:00 pm for live music and $6 beers.
$15/person–all proceeds from the guided ride benefit Summit County Search and Rescue, as well at 50% of beer sales in the backyard. Discounted bike rentals will be available. Please book by calling Breck Bike Guides at 970-393-9000 in advance and remember to tip your guide.

Itchy-O is a 30-plus-piece marching band that draws its inspiration from many cultures that include Japanese Taiko drumming, Chinese Lion dancing, Mexican street processions, ancient esoteric symbology and American drum corps. A blazing aural assault from the darkest depths of Colorado, Itchy-O is a wholly immersive, musical experience on a massive scale. Special musical guests DJ f-ether and Church Fire open.
Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush

Charlie Chaplin’s classic 1925 silent comedy, The Gold Rush, is screened with live music, performed by the Breckenridge Music Festival Orchestra. A story of the race for gold and hope for a new life illuminates the four destinies of an adventurer, a dancer, an outlaw and a tramp in the great North. Co-presented by Breckenridge Music Festival and Breckenridge International Festival of Arts.
